THE RAILWAY PUB & RESTAURANT

Welcome to the newly opened and refurbished Railway Pub & Restaurant where customer satisfaction is our number one priority.

In September 2013 the Railway, formerly the Albert, was badly damaged by fire, but thanks to Star Pubs & Bars and new owners Sylvia and Carl Davidson, the pub has received a major overhaul and of course a new name.

The rebranding and investment into the pub are not the only things to have changed, we now serve food on a daily basis and also provide a Sunday Roast which is second to none.

Situated opposite Witham train station, with direct links to London and with great links to both the A12 for Colchester and Chelmsford, we are perfectly situated for locals and commuters alike.

We are open daily, our food being served throughout the day and night with waitress service and we now offer the convenience of accepting cards.

For the colder months of the year we also have an open feature fireplace that is lit during this period, making The Railway an even cosier place to come and relax.

Come along on a Wednesday Night from 8pm for a night packed full of fun & entertainment with your friends & family & join in our charity Pub Quiz, with money raised going towards a great local cause.

With our great levels of customer service & friendly atmosphere, come and see what all the fuss is about.

We look forward to seeing you soon at The Railway Pub & Restaurant and hope that you enjoy your visit.

Witham is a town in the county of Essex, in the east of England with a population of over 25,000.
Witham stands just off the A12 between the towns of Chelmsford (8 miles to the south-west) and Colchester (13 miles to the north-east) and has great rail and road links.
The River Brain runs through the town and joins the River Blackwater shortly outside it.

Here at the newly refurbished Railway Pub & Restaurant we offer a great selection of dishes all served within our comfortable and modern chic surroundings, incorporating contemporary style with original 19th Century features.

Our all day dining experience provides a taste sensation with a variety of dishes ranging from baguettes & sandwiches to traditional pub meals such as fish & chips, bangers & mash and steak & ale pie & mash.

We also have a "Specials" board which is updated regularly so don't forget to take a look inside to see the specials of the day.

Food served all day with Sunday lunch available between 12pm-7pm and 2 meals for £16 from Monday to Thursday (choose any main courses marked with*)
